Sue didn"t have time to think before he said, "Get your things packed and my private plane will pick you first thing tomorrow."
She hung up after thanking him again. He must really be rich if he had a private plane, she thought. She spent the rest of the night packing what little she had and making arrangements to ship the rest next week.
Pete never remarried after the divorce. He lived alone on his private estate just off the coast at Gulf Port. Ms. Dixon was his housekeeper, secretary, and lover.
